This is my submission for the 2006 Blizzard Art Contest. I found out about it three days ago and have been spending most of my time working on this ever since. It ended tonight. I finally got this submitted about 15 minutes before the deadline due to Blizzard's website being all wacked. If I had more time I could have maybe done something that stood a chance at winning. This probably won't. But I feel like I accomplished something.

Anyways, this Arator the Redeemer, a bit of Warcraft Lore that they put into the Burning Crusade. He's the nephew of Sylvannas Windrunner and half-human, half-elf but all pwnage. He hangs out in the Honor Hold Inn in the game and is probably one of the most BA NPCs in the entire world (of warcraft).

I mildly like how he turned out.

There's something kinda "Vampire D"-esque about him. Although "blood knights" do sound cool. I think pencil, although that is what you mostly do, is a great choice for this since WoW is a largely medieval fantasy genre. It gives it that "old" feel. Good feeling though.

Too bad, that one is on par with most of the better stuff I've seen on Blizzard's site. The Blizzard artists would have made his face longer but this is your style and I think you did a good job of blending your style with theirs.

I actually just got an email from Blizz saying that they recieved my entry. Thank God.

If anything, this'll hopefully wind up on the Fan page. Looking forward to Burning Crusade.

ok, well you already know how I feel about this -but I just wanted to add that I LOVE the little justice symbol......nice touch. And the armor on the hands.....and the sword -yeah, I still like the whole thing....can't stop staring at it, and I can't get enough of it

LOL well he's wearing the "Judgment" armor set which has the little Justice symbol on each shoulder...

The ironic thing is that Blood Elf Blood Knights are a twisted form of the Light-based Paladins in the game lol. But I wanted to draw a Paladin AND an elf so yeah...

I'm glad you like it. I think I've just looked at it too much in the last few days to like it myself...
